Being "Health" June 6 2013

After only getting a couple hours of sleep because of the Bruins game and Dylan waking up I struggled with both my diet and energy to go to the gym.

I napped and pulled it togehter by 9:00pm and did some stretching to get the legs fresh. In my mind tonight was some statements made by Dr. Wayne about "being health" and being the things we envision for oursleves. Not to think about striving to get somewhere but seeing ourselves of having the feeling of having arrived where we want to be.

These thoughts helped motivate me to maintain a pace tonight and reflect on the changes I had made. I like the idea of embracing "health" and the changes that come from it. These changes need to be accepted and allowed to happen. Decided to start cutting out artificial sugars today. Mostly this means black coffee for me and unsweetened oatmeal. Even though today had some imbalance the changes I have made have allowed me to pull things together quickly. Tonights gym workout stats:
20 minutes on the treadmill 2.41 miles
5 minutes spinning 1.2 miles 3/30 second bursts
3 sets of 5 reps of squats at 140 lb on the free motion squat machine(use handle to adjust)
3/20 ab crunches at 25 lbs
3/6 calf presses at 90lbs

The combination of embracing what I want to become and maintaining focus is something to continue to reflect on.
